Petaling Jaya, 11th July 2018 – Hari Raya is a time for celebration, forgiveness, and spending time with our loved ones. It is also a time for giving back to the community and to spread the joy and hope of the festivities, especially with the less fortunate.
In the spirit of this joyous season, employees of 3M Malaysia organized a fun filled Hari Raya celebration with the children from Rumah Nur Sakinah. The children were invited to a fun-filled event where they got to mingle and bond with 3M Malaysia employees over a sumptuous serving of delicious food as well as activities that were organized for the children. The leadership team of 3M Malaysia also took the opportunity to personally serve food to the children.

“3M Malaysia is a melting pot of different races and we make it a point to celebrate each festivity to not only bring employees closer together, but to appreciate the amazing diversity within our company. It is also important that we make each celebration meaningful to make it a memorable event for everyone involved,” said Samuel Loh, President of 3M Malaysia’s Sports Club.
Recognizing the need to provide for these children, 3M Malaysia also organized a donation drive amongst its employees to collect funds to purchase necessities for the home.
“It was such a rewarding experience for all our employees to spend time with these children and showing them that we care. Furthermore, knowing that we have helped and provided for these children that enabled them to enjoy the Raya celebrations just a little bit better is simply priceless. We had a great time with them and they thanked us in the sweetest way possible – with a special serenade to the employees! While they were shy about it at first, it was truly a special memory for 3M Malaysia!” added Samuel.
