Vietjet enhances fleet capacity with the arrival of 105th aircraft

Kuala Lumpur, 19 February 2024 – Vietjet continues to strengthen its world’s leading modern airline fleet with the arrival of its new Airbus A321neo ACF at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City. This addition brings Vietjet’s fleet to a total of 105 aircraft, reinforcing the airline’s commitment to operational growth and efficiency.

The A321neo ACF is a fuel-efficient aircraft designed to enhance passenger comfort and minimise environmental impact. Known for its contemporary features, the A321neo ACF is capable of saving fuel up to 20%, reducing emissions to the environment by up to 50%, and reducing noise by up to 75%. Vietjet adopted the A321neo ACF’s specially-designed cabin format in 2019, making it the first airline globally to do so.

In line with its strategic expansion plans, Vietjet recently incorporated consecutive Airbus Neo aircraft into its fleet, providing the necessary resources for future network expansion. These aircraft, introduced in the Year of the Dragon, will contribute to Vietjet’s readiness for new destinations. Additionally, Vietjet addressed increased travel demand during the Lunar New Year holidays by introducing six wet-leased aircraft in early February.

Operating on a daily basis, flights between Kuala Lumpur and Ho Chi Minh City offer thousands of passengers’ complete convenience and ease of travel with the many flight and route options, both locally and internationally.

In the past year, Vietjet added 33 new international and domestic routes, resulting in a network of 125 routes (80 international and 45 domestic). The airline has successfully transported over 185 million passengers globally.
