Penang, Malaysia – Celebrating two decades of biodiversity and cultural heritage, Tropical Spice Garden will be hosting ‘Spice Out!’, a family-friendly weekend festival set amidst its lush rainforest garden in Teluk Bahang from the 24th till 26th of November. The Gardens will be open for free over the weekend, aside from a few ticketed experiences.
Throughout its illustrious history, Tropical Spice Garden has preserved over 500 species of lush and exotic flora. The Spice Out! weekend festival is curated to invite families to immerse themselves in the Garden’s wonders, offering a blend of engaging activities, performances, and culinary delights.
Festival-goers can expect a diverse lineup of activities and performances. From guided walks, wellness sessions and interactive cooking demos to craft workshops, sharing sessions and performances from local artists, the event promises an array of experiences for all ages in a beautiful, unique setting. A free shuttle service will also be provided with pickup points in George Town, Tanjung Bungah, Batu Ferringhi and Teluk Bahang.
In honour of this milestone, the Garden is offering an exclusive opportunity for participants to learn from talented home cooks, steeped in generational wisdom, at a remarkable 50% discount. Tickets for the cooking school will be available for purchase online via the official website throughout the festival week.
Attendees are also invited to camp out in nature or book themselves in at a selection of hotels along the Batu Ferringhi stretch. In conjunction with the festival, the Angsana Teluk Bahang resort, conveniently located close to the Garden, will be extending a generous 28% discount on room rates for stays between 20th to 30th November, allowing festival-goers to extend their celebration on Penang island.
