Kuala Lumpur, 11 December 2024 – Infinix, a trendy tech brand crafted for young consumers, is bringing esports excitement to new heights this 17th of December 2024 with the Infinix Esports Tournament Season 3, in partnership with Honor of Kings (HOK) and MediaTek. The highly anticipated Offline Playoffs will take place at the Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU), where Infinix aims to continue fostering the growth of esports talent in Malaysia.
This tournament follows Infinix’s recent establishment of a cutting-edge game research laboratory in collaboration with Honor of Kings and MediaTek. The partnership is focused on driving innovation in mobile gaming technology, optimizing game performance, and exploring AI-powered gaming innovations, further enhancing the gaming experience for players in emerging smartphone markets.
Eight university esports clubs from across Malaysia organized mini tournaments, leading to 16 teams competing in online qualifiers from 18 to 21 November 2024. The top four teams—Teams JTC and Baba from APU, and Teams Focusmode and U Gen from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM)—have advanced to the Offline Playoffs, where they will compete for a prize pool of RM10,000. Matches kick off at 11 A.M. at the APU Atrium.
Beyond the thrilling esports action, visitors can enjoy engaging activities at Infinix’s booths, with the chance to win exclusive prizes, including Infinix smartphones, Homebois jerseys, and exclusive Infinix merchandise. Matches will be streamed live on Infinix official TikTok and Facebook pages as well as Honor of Kings’ official Facebook page.
