Kuala Lumpur, 17 March 2021 – foodpanda Malaysia has announced that Fabian Emanuel, Head of Marketing will be taking on an expanded role with the organisation to oversee brand campaigns at a regional level as the new Asia Pacific Head of Campaigns for foodpanda.

This new role comes after Emanuel successfully drove growth of foodpanda Malaysia since first joining the organisation back in 2017.

Commenting on the announcement, Emanuel said, “I truly believe in the purpose, message, and goals of foodpanda. I am excited to be taking on an enhanced role that will allow me to contribute even more substantially towards the brand’s overall growth within the region.”

As a Head of Marketing at foodpanda Malaysia, Emanuel led the brand’s marketing activities across social media and digital campaigns, advertising, and creative projects. He was integral in crafting various strategies for all marketing teams, including digital, advertising, communications, and creative.

Emanuel’s career at foodpanda Malaysia was highlighted by a government joint campaign alongside the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), launching foodpanda’s first local ambassador campaign, and leading the charge for the Ramadhan and Hari Raya 2020 festive campaign exclusively for the Malaysia market.

“In the four plus years serving as the Head of Marketing at foodpanda Malaysia, I have had the privilege of working with a highly capable and talented team. Together we have strived to deliver some of the brand’s and if I may be so bold as to say – some of the nation’s most compelling marketing initiatives. I will look to continue this momentum and deliver more success at a regional level,” he added.

Prior to joining foodpanda Malaysia, Emanuel served as a Social Media Marketing Consultant for Yumela Communications, focusing on business development while contributing strategically to the growth and direction of the company. Before that, Emanuel held the role of a Digital Consultant at Basicmy Sdn Bhd where he successfully expanded the business providing digital setup, support, and direction for clients while leading marketing and advertising strategies for new and existing clients.
