Kuala Lumpur, 5th April 2023 —Home-brewed local coffee chain ZUS Coffee is updating its menu for the upcoming Ramadan season as they welcome the spirit of Raya or #JiwaRaya with the introduction of an all-new festive drink — the Kurma Spanish Frappé!
ZUS’s latest drink looks to incorporate the local berbuka favorite of dates, or buah kurma, into everyone’s favourite cuppa. The perfect accompaniment to the season’s festivities, the frappé offers a rich and refreshing twist to the Iftar experience with the pairing of deliciously sweet dates with the smooth creaminess of milk.
“We opted for a kurma-themed drink because dates are practically synonymous with Ramadan for Malaysians of all walks of life. From the advertisements on the radio to the stands set up in the malls, the minute you see kurma stands or promotions, we immediately know Ramadan is upon us,” shares Venon Tian, ZUS Coffee’s Chief Operating Officer. The Kurma Spanish Frappé will be available throughout Ramadan at all ZUS Coffee outlets and online.

In the spirit of giving back to the community, for every purchase of the Kurma Spanish Frappé, ZUS Coffee will donate RM0.30 to MYDIN Prihatin as part of their #KeperluanRamadanRaya campaign, the proceeds of which will be channeled towards families in need.

This CSR initiative comes hot on the heels of the brand’s recent expansion by partnering with MYDIN.
