In alignment with IHG Hotels & Resorts’ global “Giving for Good” initiative, Holiday Inn Johor Bahru City Centre, together with Holiday Inn Express & Suites Johor Bahru, was delighted to participate in a meaningful Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activity this September. The initiative reflects the hotels’ commitment to community engagement, environmental care, and making a positive impact on society.
As part of the program, over 30 hotel team members including representatives from the Green Engage Committee, came together to actively contribute to the upkeep of Zoo Johor. The group participated in a gotong-royong style clean-up of the zoo grounds and animal enclosures, removing litter, tidying pathways, and ensuring the spaces were more pleasant for both animals and visitors. This collective effort not only supported the zoo’s daily operations but also highlighted the importance of environmental stewardship within the community.
In addition, the hotels extended their care by donating freshly prepared meals to Zoo Johor’s dedicated team members, a gesture of appreciation for their unwavering commitment to caring for wildlife and providing meaningful educational experiences to visitors. This act of giving fostered stronger bonds between the hotel teams and the zoo, reinforcing the shared goal of creating a cleaner, greener, and more welcoming environment for all.
