Kuala Lumpur, 16 October 2024 – ZUS Coffee, Malaysia’s homegrown, tech-enabled coffee brand, is excited to introduce its latest premium Single Origin Coffee Beans (SOE): Guatemala El Regalito from Huehuetenango, Guatemala. Sustainably farmed and carrying a Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) score of 85.25 points, these beans promise a distinct and unique tasting experience. Customers can enjoy notes of green apple, toast, and brown sugar when enjoyed black, or hints of chocolate, malt, and almond when paired with milk.
This new offering has spurred further product innovation, inspiring the launch of two exclusive beverages: Iced Shaken Double SOE and Iced Shaken Berry Americano. Both drinks highlight the versatility of the Guatemala El Regalito beans, which are traceable to a family farm in Guatemala, nurtured by passionate sustainable coffee farmer Vielmann Vides Villatoro Castillo. Customers can still enjoy the return of SOE’s flavours that were launched in June: SOE Spanish Latté, SOE CEO Latté, and SOE Americano, available both hot and iced.
Castillo had returned to Guatemala, after having lived in Los Angeles, and immediately started getting to work to expand his land and invested in sustainable and natural farming practices, such as the use of pure mountain spring water to process the beans. Today, he and his family continue to cultivate coffee beans that they hope will become part of a lasting legacy.
