During these visits, F&NHB contributed close to RM85,000 in the form of F&N food and beverages, essential household items, personal care products and angpows distributed to the residents at the homes. The Group also provided lunch at some of the homes and spent time with the residents in the homes, in the hope of enhancing the festive spirits and well-being of the beneficiaries.

“Community development plays an important role in our business operations. In every market in which we operate, we engage in both long and short-term programmes anchored on four themes – strengthening vulnerable groups, promoting environmental consciousness, spreading festive cheer, and promoting sports and active lifestyles aimed at fostering greater social equity,” said Karen Tan, Director of Communications, Corporate Affairs & Sustainability at F&NHB.

“Festive seasons are a great opportunity for us to connect with the local community. By spreading cheer, we nurture a sense of unity that contributes to creating a more harmonious and inclusive environment for all,” she added. Every festive season, F&NHB aims to reach out to the less fortunate through the acts of gift giving and volunteerism to encourage employees to make a positive impact on the community.

“This Chinese New Year, the F&N family embraced the spirit of togetherness, spreading joy across Malaysia. With each visit, we shared smiles and received priceless moments of happiness and gratitude in return. It’s a powerful reminder that true joy comes from lifting others up,” said Yogesvary Gopalan, Senior Executive, Corporate and Regulatory Affairs.

“It was heartwarming to be able to spend time with the less fortunate this Chinese New Year, in line with our values at F&N. Together as a team, we reached out across communities and proved that small acts of kindness resonate deeply,” said Chen Teck Boon, Regional Marketing Service Manager, who volunteered at Persatuan Kebajikan Prihatin Kuan Yin Johor Bahru.
