PETALING JAYA, 9 January 2021: Award-winning consumer electronics brand, LG Electronics (LG) invites all Malaysians to save energy and claim the RM200 e-Rebate through the SAVE 2.0 Programme when they purchase selected refrigerators. With energy-savings up to 46 per cent and rated up to 5-star for Energy Efficiency, there are 17 models of LG 2-door series refrigerators available to choose from, with prices starting as low as RM 1,329.

Implemented by the Sustainable Energy Development Authority (SEDA), the SAVE 2.0 initiative aims to benefit 140,000 households in Malaysia. Under this programme, consumers are entitled to RM200 rebate for purchase of refrigerators or air-conditioners with a minimum of 4-star energy efficient rating by the Energy Commission. The rebate is limited to one account only for each home appliance in 2021 or until the quota runs out[1].
Besides energy-saving features, all selected LG refrigerators under the SAVE 2.0 programme comes with added benefits[2]:
More energy efficient than conventional bulb lighting as its lifespan is longer with usage up to 40,000 hours.
This feature makes the inside temperature more even and cool 35 per cent quicker than conventional cooling system. This reduces the temperature gap significantly between the inner part and the door side of the compartment.
Allows cooling air to supply in every corner of the fridge with multiple cooling air vent.
The core indicator to freshness is steady, and even temperature is made possible by this feature that controls temperature fluctuation, keeping it within ±0.5℃.
This feature comes with intelligent air filter that will remove bacteria up to 99.999 per cent, minimise bad odour and keep food fresher in a cleaner condition.
An intelligent feature that enables consumers to control and diagnose their refrigerator simply at their fingertips. They can access to their refrigerator’s temperature and perform diagnosis using the LG ThinQ™ application on their phone.
