More than 400 million years ago, in the place we know as Western Victoria, the earth rose up to form the mountains the Kooris called Gariwerd, which we now call the Grampians. The Grampians Peak Trail is a world-class, long-distance walking trail, enabling hikers to enjoy the best of the Grampians National Park. The first stage of the 144 kilometre long trail is now open and covers some of the Grampians most loved features. It is a 33 kilometre loop walk and can be completed over three days and two nights.
